The Olive of Morganton

Olive Wood Serving Platter

Olive Wood Serving Platter

Olive Wood Serving Platter

There is no factory producing these. No assembly line, no identical pieces coming off a conveyor belt. Each platter begins as a piece of ancient Tunisian olive wood — harvested from groves where the trees have completed their long productive lives — and is hand shaped and finished by the same father and son team behind our entire olive wood collection. The result is a serving platter that carries thousands of years of Mediterranean history in its grain.

Ranging from 10 to 15 inches in length and 8 to 12 inches wide, each platter is a substantial, solid piece of wood with real weight and presence — the kind of piece that anchors a table and draws every eye in the room. The warm golden tones, dramatic swirling amber and cream grain patterns, and naturally varying shapes mean that what arrives at your door will be genuinely unlike any other platter anywhere. The deliberately finished edge curves gently upward — a beautiful detail that also happens to be perfectly practical, keeping wayward olives, grapes, and cheese exactly where they belong.

Finished with pure food safe olive oil inside and out, it's ready to serve the moment it arrives and built to last a lifetime with minimal care.

Perfect for:

  • Charcuterie and cheese boards — this is where it truly shines
  • Bread and olive oil presentations
  • Fresh fruit displays
  • Appetizer and antipasto service
  • A stunning standalone display piece when not in use
  • Housewarming, wedding, or anniversary gifts

Try this: Layer with our Tuscan Farmhouse Seasoning infused olive oil for dipping, a selection of aged cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruit, and a small dish of our 25-Year Dennisimo Balsamic for drizzling. Set it on the table and step back. It does the rest.

Since each platter is individually hand crafted, yours will resemble but not exactly match the product photo. That's not a limitation — it's the point. You're getting something that exists nowhere else in the world.

Care: Occasional rub with food grade olive oil keeps it beautiful for generations. We recommend our own — naturally.
